What's Going On Now?

August, 2007 ~ Tracy's is back on the ice and trying to make up for lost time. Though she had to start out slow, she is jumping and spinning, as well as working on Moves in the Field.

 
June/July, 2007 ~ Tracy's physical therapy continues, and she is getting stronger each day. It will take a while to get full strength back in her leg, but she is determined to compete this season. Her therapist, Amy, has been great and really pushes her to get stronger.

 
May 30, 2007 ~ Tracy's orthopedic surgeon has given her the clearance to begin physical therapy! This means that she will be back on the ice within 4-6 weeks. She's hoping for the best, and can't wait to skate again!

 
May 24, 2007 ~ Tracy had her surgery today. Her surgeon cleaned out all of the torn cartilege and other damage that occured when she fell back in March. She will continue healing and resting until she sees her doctor next week.

 
March 20, 2007 ~ Tracy's orthopedic surgeon gave her the bad news that she tore the lining of her knee, and the lateral medial meniscus. Tracy will be going to physical therapy for six weeks, start April 3. Though she is not able to compete at Nationals, she is looking forward to Cactus Classic in July, sponsored by Coyotes Skating Club of Arizona.

 
March 3-4, 2007 ~ Tracy competed at Pacific Coast Adult Sectionals in Culver City, Arizona. Despite a bad accident at practice, Tracy earned 2nd in Fourteenstep and 10th in Ladies Interpretive Artistic/Dramatic I.

 
January 7, 2007 ~ Tracy passed her Juvenile Moves in the Field and Adult Silver Freeskate at Polar Ice Peoria today. The test session was hosted by the Skating Club of Phoenix. Tracy is now getting new skates and is very excited!

 
December 16, 2006~ Alltel Ice Den hosted a dance day with Ryan O'Meara (who went to the Torino Olympics with former partner Jamie Sylverstein), Emilie Nussear, Ben Miller, and Dorothi Cassini. Tracy received compliments from Emilie and Dorothi, which made her feel positive her skating is moving in the right direction. She also began skating with her new ice dance partner, Billy.

 
December 15, 2006~ Tracy passed her preliminary and pre-bronze dance tests with her coach, Tim. Dances included Dutch Waltz, Canasta Tango, Rhythm Blues, Swing Dance, Cha-Cha and Fiesta Tango.

 
August 24, 2006 ~ Tracy began taking lessons from Linda Stabler. Linda and Tim both work together in a way where they are aware of what the other is doing with her and supplement as needed. Tracy enjoys working with Linda, who is getting Tracy to improve her technique quickly.

 
August 17, 2006 ~ Tracy officially started law school today. She has been skating at her new rink, Oceanside Ice Arena, in Tempe for the last two weeks and is really enjoying the experience. She has been taking dance lessons from Tim Totter who is partnering her through her tests.

 
July 4th, 2006 ~ Tracy was finally allowed back onto the ice. She is confident that it will not take long to regain her skills and will continue preparing to take her Juvenile Moves in the Field test as soon as possible.

 
June 16, 2006 ~ Tracy was accepted into Arizona State University's Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law. She will be moving to Tempe, Arizona where she will work on finding a new coach and testing very soon.

 
June 1, 2006 ~ After being admitted into the hospital, Tracy is feeling a bit better. A throat infection combined with mono means that Tracy must take at least a month off of skating in order to get her health back. She is already anxious to get back on the ice but knows she must take a break.

 
April 21-23, 2006 ~ Tracy competed in Fiesta Skate 2006 in Peoria, Arizona. She debuted this season's new freeskate program to Gade's Jalousie. She had a very good showing, though she was tired from so much excitement at Nationals.

 
March 27-April 1, 2006 ~ Tracy's first Adult Nationals went better than planned, with Tracy becoming the National Silver Medallist in Bronze Ladies Class I! She had a wonderful skate and cannot wait until next year!

 
March 3-4, 2006~ Tracy competed in her first Adult Sectional competition in Oakland, California. She placed third and skated great! Now she has three more weeks to get ready for Adult Nationals in Dallas!

 
January/February 2006~ Preparations for Tracy's biggest competitions yet have been continuing. With Sectionals and Nationals looming, training is increasing and everything is being fine-tuned so she can put her best performance out there.
